ABOUT CURRICULUM

The renowned scholars have recorded that the gospel of Jesus Christ had been sown in the Indian soil in the very inception of the Christ Era. As of today, many scholars, secular as well as Christian, from India and from abroad have written with substantial evidences, historical accounts and proofs to show that the above statement is a reality. If it is true, what was the fate of early Indian Christianity. Has it undergone a ceremonial burial in the milieu of political upheavals, foreign invasions, religious intolerance and conspiracy etc.? This training of NILT attempts to investigate into some reliable factors to show a bird’s eye-view about the Early Christianity in India. For this, we need to understand the religious background in India before CE and A.D. The seed of Christianity was sown in the Indian soil before the advent of the Europeans. For many centuries, the ministry and martyrdom of the Apostle St. Thomas was not properly investigated by the Christian Theologians and the secular scholars in the background of the historical development of the Indian.
